The Era of the Humanitarian Architect - What the Eco Revolution Creates For Architects Today

I would like to begin by repeating a word that will be the topic for this article. I call it sustainability, sustainability ... and sustainability. In this day and age, our precious planet called Earth (Terra), suffers from overcrowding, which led to heavy loads resource extraction.

Architects simply must be taken into account in their philosophy of doing things, and take a stand against the conventional EGO driven projects that were in fact masked a pretentious artistic philosophy and the words attached to it, so that the population enables them to dig more than our country and the production of non-real viable product. Last time I had heard something green stars, I also heard that everything is produced from "new material" instead of "existing recycled materials." There was a slight tone of hypocrisy there.

the greatest architect of all time (in my biased opinion) was Frank Lloyd Wright. I believe that his minimalist approach to architecture and his philosophy that it is non-intrusive with nature is what seriously needs to be strengthened today. We all want to create a legacy for our future generations so that they can enjoy the magic as we do today. That legacy, really no different from the word sustainability. Buddha said the only real knowledge is something that lives with us after death. So, if you want to create a legacy, to spend the timeless knowledge and take the "legacy act", so that congruence is present in a very deep level.

This brings me to the existing building industries. This industry will no doubt dominate. Architects will reject the perception that the "new and stunning" building. Instead, they will fall in favor of it and realize that we as a planet has an existing beauty that can be enhanced in a sustainable manner. I liken this practice to the care of your body. You see, if I am sick and 40 years, I just do not kill myself and I hope that someone else will replace me. I instead, research on health supplements, exercise programs and welfare practices to renew and extend their longevity. This is how we approach architecture.

Frank Lloyd Wright said that the great architect "was not made by the brain almost as much as he did through a cultivated, enriched heart." Let us share the love with the legacy of our youth, and eliminate our attachment to clean awards. Acknowledge the beauty we have around us (thanks to the Earth, wind and fire) and let it flourish.
